One of these things is not like the other…..
There’s two cop cars when the guy making meth in his garage gets busted.
There’s seven cop cars when someone’s bag of golf clubs gets stolen out of their garage. Which, I’d like to add, was left open by the home owner.
Seriously. If you’re considering coming to visit Florida in the spring/summer, don’t. Actually, you probably shouldn’t consider it at all, any time of year. For so many reasons. June to November is hurricane season, which is always a blast. Who doesn’t love power outages and shopping for batteries, non-perishable food, and new shingles for your roof? Snowbird season overlaps hurricane season. If you have road rage or don’t like to wait for a table at Perkins, you don’t want to be in Florida for these months! And then for most of the spring, there’s what I like to call “pre-hurricane, why the hell don’t I own a raincoat?!” season. That’s days like today, where it’s gorgeous out all morning, until the severe thunderstorms and 55mph winds and penny sized hail and tornado warnings and flood warnings start happening at 4pm. And suddenly everyone is scrambling to take off their leather shoes, find the umbrellas they keep in their purses, and make sure they closed their sunroofs.
So my advice to you crazy people that still want to come visit, bring a poncho with you when you go to Disney. Because I will laugh at you if you’re the tourist who can’t understand where the rain came from and is attempting to wear Disney shopping bags or spending like $12 on a poncho.
