He told me we’d only be out a couple of hours. So I wore rather tall wedges. Once I’d been at his house nearly 12 hours, I started stealing his ugly crocs, the only shoes his size that I could mostly keep on my feet. 26 hours later, I finally went home, my poor feet hating me.
